MS4 - The Process of Ideology (Hegemony)


This process is in constant flux/movement. 
It is a process of struggle through negotiation and consensus.

A political ideology is a set of ideas, beliefs, opinions and values that: 
  • Exhibit a recurring pattern. 
  • Are held by significant groups. 
  • Compete over providing and controlling plans for public policy. 
  • Do so with the aim of justifying, contesting or changing the social and political arrangements and processes of a political community.
